What is this program?

Get Your Next Gig with Career Happy is a seven-week virtual group coaching program that gives you all the tools you need to get the job you want – from networking and outreach strategies to portfolio best practices to put your best foot forward.


What will I get?

  • Real insights and candid conversations from industry recruiters and coaches with over 25 years in the business, who know advertising and know creatives

  • Guided steps on how to improve and optimize your portfolio, resume and LinkedIn

  • Worksheets, templates, insider tips and easy outlines to help you network like a pro and feel great and anxiety-free doing it

  • A community of support and encouragement along the way so you never feel alone in your process (breakout rooms, interactive classes, Slack group)

  • An authentic, human and empathetic approach facilitated by Hillary, Leslie and Kathryn as well as expert guest speakers

  • Q&A on all things recruitment & career from industry experts

What are the details?

  • Class Dates: TBD

  • Meeting Time: Meeting weekly via Zoom for 7 weeks (typically Wednesdays at 6-7:30pm EST)

  • 10+ hours of coaching & education

  • All sessions will be recorded so you have access if you miss one

  • A Slack Group for any questions and to support community

  • Connection: We will provide opportunities for you to connect with your peers for additional support through group discussions, small group/one-on-one breakout rooms, additional peer-led community nights (networking, portfolio review) and accountability partners

What is the cost?

PROGRAM COST: $500

This program offers you 10+ hours of instruction over 7 sessions (plus networking events and a peer portfolio review) at a rate of $70 per class. This is a 80% discount on typical 1×1 coaching services!

Since it’s a group, will I get individualized attention?

Yes! We are capping this program at 20 people, so space is limited! Our group will remain small and intimate. If you attend live, you can ask questions and participate throughout the sessions. Our sessions are always engaging, fun and a conversation — not a lecture. If you miss an in-person session, you can ask questions via our Slack channel, and there will be an entire session devoted to completion and Q&A.

If you want to guarantee individualized attention, you can purchase a Power Hour session from one of our coaches.

Is this program open to talent of all levels?

Yes! We’ve had all kinds of participants before — from someone freshly out of school to seasoned creatives who are relaunching their careers after time away from the industry. We’ve also had people who are transitioning into something new, or pivoting into a new discipline.


Will I leave each session with action steps, and should I expect to do some work outside of class?

Yes! Each week at the end of class we will share next suggested next steps and worksheets to help you move forward in your process. That’s where the coaching element comes in, and it’s our way of holding you accountable to yourself and your goals. You’ll get the most out of this program if you set aside some time outside of class to take action. On average if you choose to follow along, it might look like 1-2 hours per week.

Will there be opportunities to connect with the other program members?

Yes! As much as we are here to teach you the best practices we know, this program wouldn’t be what it is without the community of professionals who are part of our cohorts. In our virtual sessions, we will have live group discussions as well as breakout rooms where you can connect in small groups and one-on-one. There will also be a few community nights for you to connect with one another virtually, and we will pair/trio you up with community members to help hold you accountable throughout the program, and also discuss challenges or celebrations with each other for additional support.

What’s a typical week like in the program?

We’ll have our 1.5 hour live class. Then you’ll receive that week’s class recording, slides and worksheets via email. You might have a call with your accountability partner in the group to check in, and also spend a few hours working on your materials (portfolio update, writing a bio, practicing your elevator pitch.) You may attend an additional community night or connect with your cohort on Slack as well.
